About Me

I am a postdoctoral researcher working in Dr. Dave Blackburn's lab at the Florida Museum of Natural History and the University of Florida. I earned my PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in Dr. Larry Witmer's lab in the Department of Biological Sciences at Ohio University. I study the correlation between neuroanatomy and behavior in extinct vertebrate animals. To answer my questions about these relationships between structure and function, I employ traditional and innovative anatomical techniques as well as statistical and phylogenetic methods. My PhD work was supported by a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship and I am currently working on the NSF-funded Open Vertebrate project (#oVertTCN).
